5 months of self-employment

5 months into my self-employed journey and I want to share some of my milestones with you!

🥳 First clients – Everyone said this was the hardest and I agree – it is hard to find and close those first, so it is important to celebrate. I am very excited of the progress we have made with a very open and welcoming client that I have had the pleasure of supporting side-by-side Kalev Rundu. The job’s not done, but we have taken important steps in helping step up their game!

😇 There have also been a couple of one-off short consulting sessions and it has been refreshing to know how useful my knowledge and experience can brighten another professional’s journey in a quick rundown of their world.

☕️ The wonderful team at New Herizon also invited me to give Masterclass on Money and I left that day recharged with batteries that have lasted this long. I have met only but great professionals in that beautiful community.

💖 A similar feeling comes from my mentorship and coaching sessions I have had this first season. Tomorrow I have a closing one with a special client that I hope will learn she has the answers she needs. In fact, I don’t have ANY answers, but I do have the tools to help you find YOURs. Spoiler alert: 42 is usually not it! (unless 42 thousand or 42 million is your number discovered in your Money Coaching session?)

Community has also been a great player in these months for me:
1. The Tallinn Product community, especially the ones behind tpg.ee which I have mentioned endless times and will do again 😉 Toomas, Anna-Liisa, Urmo, Nikolay, Johann, Janika, Anna
2. The many coffees with new and old faces I have had here and there. Many more coffees waiting to be scheduled soon!
3. The reunion with Krishna and the many wonderful current and former Pipedrivers that keep shining bright and reminding me of the great times we had there! (I can’t start listing you all or I fear I will miss some!)
4. The language exchange meetups where I have been reconnecting with an old hobby.
5. And now the yet-to-be-discovered community of Palo Alto Club which I joined this Septembrikuus.

This journey is difficult. There are many days of self-doubt, but every interaction with the real world helps me validate or calibrate. So thank you, real world. Living in one’s on head alone is sad and dangerous. I choose the dangers out there first and always!

Happy Wednesday,
Maria 🌺
